AFFIRMATIVE AGREEMENT AND NEGATIVE AGREEMENT

When people speak together, they often agree or disagree about things. We can use simple forms to express our agreement or disagreement.

Auxiliary verbs are verbs that intangibles such as Do, did, does, is, am, are, was, were, have, has, will, can, shall, should, could, and much more. It could be said that the auxiliary verbs are auxiliary verb. The goal is to support the main verb or a main verb. Various forms of auxiliary verbs are as follows:

1. Auxiliary verbs Be (To be) = Is, am, are, was, were, been
2. Auxiliary verbs Have = Have dan Has
3. Auxiliary verbs Modal = Can, could, shall, should, will, must, might, dan may
4. Auxiliary verbs Do = Do, does, did

AFFIRMATIVE AGREEMENT

Affirmative AGREEMENT is used to indicate a person or thing that is done is the same thing, it is used for efficiency are not necessary the same word over and over. we can use the word "so" or "too"

SO = SO + AUX VERB + SUBJECT

TOO = SUBJECT + AUX VERB + TOO

Exp :    A          :  I’m feeling tired

            B          :  So am I

            B          :  I’m too

Exp :    A          :  I live in depok

            B          :  So do I

            B          :  I do too

NEGATIVE AGREEMENT

Actually the same purpose as well as affirmative agreement only this time for a negative sentence, which is so and too be replaced by either and Neither.

NEITHER = NEITHER +AUX POSITIVE + SUBJECT

EITHER    = SUBJECT + NEGATIVE AUX + EITHER

            B          : Neither do i
